Stonecrop Farms
Tom’s 75 acres just outside of Lexington is named well. There’s stone just coming out of the ground every which way you look. He’s spent the last 30 years collecting his favorite stones. And I got to make a nice, vernacular finish to his house with them. 75 feet total.
We had so much fun working together. We drove almost every day into town to get lunch together and then came back on the wall. It was 4 weeks in April/May, and I got to experience my first Kentucky Spring there.
Our next project will be his “Stonehenge” as we call it. He wants to use the big, huge stones on his property to make a vertical dry stone wall.
